It's been a busy Q4 here at Appyness! As we move into the holiday season, several of our web-based clients are now starting to see the positive effects of SEO strategies that we implemented a few months ago! SEO takes time - so it's better to start sooner, than later.

SEO strategy is constantly evolving, so we're always on the lookout for new strategies, tactics, and tools to test out. Thus, here are some of the articles that we've been reading this week:

  • How to Write Great Schema Markup for Your Company: Schema Markup and Rich Snippets can greatly increase CTR to your site in the search engines. This article by SEMrush gives great times on the different types of Schema Markup that all sites should have.
  • Exploring an industry and finding content ideas: a matter of tools?: There's a wide variety of tools out there that can be used when developing and implementing an SEO strategy. This article, by Brice Berdah, does a great job of summarizing some of the options out there. Our preferred premium tool is SEMrush and sometimes MOZ.
  • Top 8 Google Analytics Reports for Managing Organic SEO Campaigns: Back in the day, Google Analytics used to show keyword referral data for organic traffic. That has since disappeared and been replaced with the dreaded "not provided". However, data-driven organic campaigns are still possible! This article is a bit from the past but includes 8 custom Google Analytics reports that can be used to help to manage data-driven organic SEO campaigns.
